Natcon: End of day one

Dawn Day 1 - Guess what - Dawn Attack!

End of day one and it's been a hoot. Played versus Jeff McNelly's Chaos Warriors, Hamish's Skaven (again) and Sam' Dark Elves. Mike King has sent  out the games for next round along with standings. I've come out pretty good against the 2 hardest lists (39/60).

Round 1

20-0 vs Jeff (dawn attack), Joel had a themed chaos warrior army based on greek mythology, made a change from all the GW miniatures you see. I managed to outmanouvre him and get off some great charges and he had terrible luck with eye of gods, rolling triple 1's on eye of the gods and turning his general into a Spawn. I don't think Joel would ever have a worse game and I possibly would ever have a better game.

Round 2
13-7 versus Hamish(watchtower). Somebody help me. Freekin' Skaven. At least I was going up against Hamish in my favourite scenario against him. I ended up bunkering in the watchtower and minimising losses where Hamish could never beat me in the tower.

Round 3
6-14 versus Sam(battleline). Cold one Death Star is annoying, it went from a draw to a loss in the last turn when he finally charged his cold ones into my beaten down bloodletter unit. other than that it was dancing around the board for the rest.

The missus is having tonnes of fun rounding up the bottom half. She's had some terrible luck. She is now officially the top female warhammer player in New Zealand.
